Happiness, the word has a price tag attached to it. A price which will remain always be beyond the realm of human mind. The whole human race runs frantically behind happiness. I find it as precious as Holy Grail; everybody tries to find it to satisfy his or her fill of greed of happiness. But you ask a 10 year old kid or a seasoned 80 year old man they both will tell you the same thing, they wish happiness would be intertwined in every aspect of their life. But what exactly is the price of happiness?
The Greeks used to believe that a living body can't achieve the happiness until death. I am not advocating death over here to achieve happiness. People are often obsessed with afterlife or what should be their karma in order to obtain a place in heaven with their god. I don't blame the common man for being so obsessed. These days you will find the common man spending lump some amount on havans or other forms of worship to satisfy god. People are so busy reading the rules of bhagwad gita, bible and Quran that they forget the true meaning of the books.
What is the motive of all this? To have a good happiness filled life and spend the afterlife with god in heaven that's all? Maybe people should try and reach out the true meaning of those books. People in this frantic search for happiness are often surprised that these holy books only tell them what they already know. But think again are we truly upholding the meaning of these books. One of my friends told me a very simple thing," maybe you think of your life in a me-centric manner".
I am not one of the best believers around. But I believe there is something which created all this we have today, I don't wish to know what it is, but yah something is up there which made us. People have given it names some call him Jesus, some call him Allah. I call him creator. I won't say the holy books are a guideline from him. But maybe if we could derive the true meaning of those books, we could live in a state of truth rather than in a state of denial. I believe happiness is something which we shouldn't chase; rather we should wait for it to come to us.
I may sound confused but all I am saying is lets try to live a true good life, life which is lived for upholding the true values is 10 times better than life lived chasing a false dream.

Mystery of Solitude
Solitude is it good, is it bad? Most of us would say that it is bad, but I prefer solitude, it gives you freedom to think, the eerie nature of silence helps in breaking down the most complex of the problems, I do not disagree that solitude might make you depressed and anguished. Solitude sounds dark in nature, but it is like a dark tunnel which ends in bright light.
The pressure of daily life is enormous, it may get to you sometimes, so I feel the best way to get some respite is to get away from the entire hustle bustle and stay in solitude for sometime. To achieve a future image of the consequences of your action, solitude is the best solution. Solitude doesn’t have to be necessarily evil
I think to be strong in your weakest moments is a great virtue which can be achieved only by few. The state of solitude might sometimes bring out the worst in you. For some it might be fear, for some it might be boredom and the list is endless but those who conquer this never fail in life.
Think of it why do authors, scientists like to work alone, because in that moment of silence they try to create a world of their own and calculate infinite possibilities of their work. I myself have seen it, when am alone away from the crowd I often create a world of my own, the world of imagination, I think of the impossible and gain satisfaction. Our dear former president Dr. A.P.J.Kalam says it’s good to dream.
I don’t think everybody will agree to this dark thinking. But many would definitely feel that there is an uncanny coincidence between the article and their life. I feel what is dark may not necessarily be dark, because there is light even in the darkest corner of the earth.

The ambiguity of thoughts
Your action determines your character, is a well known proverb. But are thoughts nothing? Sometimes we are asked to think less and to work more, but then is that not the symptoms of a monotonous life.
Great thinkers like Voltaire, Chanakya changed the rules of the society, Isaac Newton discovered gravity beneath a tree, and Schrodinger made up a whole equation while sitting in his room. This proves that much of the human mind remains undiscovered. Society tends to create norms and people who think differently are shunned.
I have frequently observed brilliant sportsmen; actors and writers fade away into stereotype careers to earn daily bread and butter. But then manipulation of thoughts begins with birth, a child may say he wants to be air-force pilot one day and by the time he reaches high school he might end up saying that its better to be engineer or a doctor.
We need to develop thinking amongst the young. They need to learn about a world apart from the regular one. You never know which thought sparks a new revolution, thoughts were the core of the renaissance, and look what it gave us Da Vinci, Michelangelo and many more. They gave us such masterpieces that even today people look at them in awe.
The modern education was developed with the principle value of turning great thoughts into action, its sole desire was to have more of Tagores , Chandrashekhars in our country. But as time progressed younglings of our country buried their thoughts and immersed themselves into a stereotype routine.
“Dare to think different”, I think this should be promoted, it might solve many of our problems, like the unemployment caused by the recession.
Thoughts is a vast subject, it has no easy way to be unlocked. So maybe we should try to devote some of our time to understand it, people misunderstand thoughts, they forget massive powers like the laws of attraction are related to it.
Do not doubt your thoughts, give it a rational view, try and explore your thoughts, who knows what thought may change your life!!!!!

The World Of Novels
Blogging is a new hobby but reading books has been my hobby since fifth grade, and frankly for me there is no better past-time than reading books. I would like to thank and bless my English teacher of fifth grade who encouraged me to read books.
Of courses it was love at first sight. I just love reading; the words of Enid Blyton wove around in my mind a wonderful picture of imagination and possibilities. I loved it all and of course i was a teenager, every dream is true at that age. Well novels really formed an integral part of my life. Like a Christmas gift came Harry Potter. Boy!! J.K.Rowling really is a genius. The way she wrote was mind-boggling. I used to be so engrossed in reading the book that i used to lose track of time.
My parents were puzzled by the fact that there son couldn’t bring the same sincerity in his studies. But how do i explain to them the addiction of reading novels. As years passed by my imagination grew and i happily ruled over my kingdom of imagination.
I am indebted to great people like J.K.Rowling, J.R.R.Tolkien, Enid Blyton, Satyajit Ray, Jeffrey Archer and many more in honing my skills of imagination.
For a long time i hated non-fiction, it was one of those few self-assumed notions, i had in my teenage. But i thought of treading into this area last year. This genre of novels is truly enlightening. If fiction developed my imagination, non-fiction helped me in developing my thinking. I am still exploring this genre so i will have to wait to enjoy the fruits of them!!!!
I once read a story in which a man is kept imprisoned and is given only books to read. After the man is freed he is asked “how was your experience?” He replied,” I have eaten the most delicious cuisines, roamed the most beautiful places, danced and made love to the most beautiful ladies and fought wars alone. I have truly lived my lifetime through this books”
The jailer was truly dumbstruck. My friends’ novels have their own world, explore it and trust me you would never want to get away from it!!!!

INSECURITY-TRUST
Trust is a major issue. I don’t know about you guys but i feel there is a major scarcity of trust these days. Well everybody is befuddled by the issue of trust. This has lead to insecurity. Yes, insecurity, this simple word eats away the confidence of many a people like a worm. I know it’s a common topic but i think there should be a solution to it.
Okay let’s rotate the wheel of time 30 years back. Back then the child used to dutifully listen to his parents, marry the spouse they found him and lived happily after. Cut back to the present scenario, every small issue becomes a bone of discontent between parents and their child. You might say that this is only one type of insecurity, but i think according to an old saying if all is well at home, then all is well in your life.
What should be the reason???
Some might define it as a conflict between progressive thinking amongst the new generation and stagnant thinking by the older one. But then they score over us in many areas, like they have a better stability in life due to their stronger beliefs.
A very simple way to look at this is our belief in god. How many people do really visit temple this days, i am also a part of this crime, but i see my parents and other elder people visiting temple once a week. That’s belief and if you look around you will find many more issues similar to this.
I am not advocating the fact that we should return to the old manner of thinking, but maybe we could pick a leaf out of our older generation’s lives and bring some trust and security in our daily issues. I really want to be cent percent sure when i make a decision and feel secure like my parents and i feel everybody would like to do that.
Everybody would like a day when they don’t have to worry about their boss, a day when they won’t have to fight with their girlfriend/spouse, a day when they are able to trust a person with blind trust and a day when they can have a good night’s sleep.

KaMaTh CanTeeN:MaH cOLleGe hanGouT!!!!
Think abt a hangout inside MIT campus............the first thing which comes into my mind is none other than kamath canteen...........one place which has been truly serving the mighty mighty MIT for generations......
The canteen is truly a place where cultures truly met.........funny i learnt my first kannada words at the canteen itself.......the canteen sees a flurry of activities right from 0700 hours in morning to 2230 hours in night...........how many times have i seen students doing last minute revision while shoving a mouthful of bread pieces at the canteen during exam...........not only that i have seen bankrupt boyfriends keeping their girl happy with the cheap and sumptuous food available at the canteen....
Often the canteen authorities have to forcefully ask students to move out of the canteen because many of them would be stuck there for hours talking all they could..........i myself have been asked twice to do so because i was sitting and chatting there with my pals holding only a glass of lime soda....
Many a times i have vented my anger over certain issues by just sitting at canteen and having a glass of water.........for me the place holds some sorts of mystical charm which helps me in getting solution to various problems...........
The description of kamath canteen is incomplete without a mention of the long list of items it serves to the students of this mighty mighty institution.........bhurji paratha, veg bread masala, veg bun masala, maggi, lime soda............are few of the them............trust me whenever you enter this place.....you can hear the name of such items resonating from the lips of the students........i have a friend who is a mousumbi juice fanatic.......she comes daily to the canteen only to have the sweet juice..........she says no other place offers better mousumbi juice...............the quality of the food provided by the place is awesome also the cost of food is very less.....which is essential if you are serving to student who live by the motto “sasta par vadiya”......
The thing about kamath canteen is that it is not a canteen its almost like a railway station which has seen hundreds of people come and go over the years and its still over there to receive many more........sometimes when i sit at the canteen i feel proud because this is the same place upon where some of the greatest MITians must have sat and had tea while forming gr8 ideas..........
Officially u can’t squat outside the canteen...........but alas rules are made to be broken..........there is nothing better than sitting outside kamath canteen and having a conversation.............
If rumours are about to be true then the canteen is supposedly to be broken and it will make way for a coffee shop..........they say “old pave the way for the new” but will that be true for this canteen which has seen generations come and go..........maybe maybe not.......till then....let me see what else can i gather abt other places in my esteemed college campus........which are visited enough but not cared to that extent!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sayonara
